HLP’s landscape architects take account of national planning guidance and local policies and prepare a full photographic survey record of local open space, sport and recreation facilities, to examine and assess potential impacts of the development proposals on a neighbourhood.

Current open space, sport and recreation is analysed according to quantitative, qualitative, distribution and access standards agreed with the local authority, informing proposals for compensatory provision where required.
