The project at Woodthorpe Grange Park in Nottingham comprises of the refurbishment and remodelling of two 1960’s tower blocks and the provision of a new build extracare apartment block that connect the two existing towers.

The existing blocks are being upgraded internally and externally insulated with render, designed to provide a dynamic modern image, in sympathy with its parkland setting. A community hub is integrated within the design of the ground floor of the extracare apartment building, promoting ease of movement and access between the buildings on site. A roof terrace extends the communal environment with views and vistas across the surrounding parkland and city landscape beyond.

The proposals were developed from inception by HLP and progressed through detailed design to site alongside Willmott Dixon for Nottingham City Homes, incorporating extensive design participation and consultation with the community.
