The masterplan for South Aston presented deliverable proposals for the redevelopment of a large sixties Radburn estate.
An imaginative plan included phased redevelopment to create a environmentally sustainable model neighbourhood with a new high school as a focal point for regeneration and an urban boulevard along the A34 gateway to the city.
A key challenge of the project was an intensive community engagement programme with a multi-ethnic population speaking a wide range of different languages.
The consultation process culminated in a successful road show with a community exhibition and interactive models generating a high degree of interest in the scheme
