The new medical centre is designed with a double height entrance area spanned by large Glulam beams and has larch cladding to the frontages. These sustainable materials continue throughout the building creating a calming healthy environment. HLP have recently returned to the project and extended the medical facilities to provide a variety of healthcare services.

Childwall Valley Health Centre was designed to be both environmentally conscious and friendly to patients and staff.

Particular attention was given to producing a healthy building through the use of natural light, ventilation, and materials, as well as design for all disabilities.  The need for security is combined with a welcoming environment, in particular through the café style waiting area, which is light, airy and comfortable with views to the natural landscape.  The entrance and reception areas are visually clear, welcoming, relaxing, spacious and well controlled.
